Working Principle of Active Q-Switch

The active Q-switch medical beauty power supply serves as both the power source and timing control core of spot removal & tattoo removal lasers. It consists of two independent modules: a xenon lamp pumping power supply circuit and a dedicated Q-switch drive control circuit. It precisely controls the resonant cavity Q value via electrical signals to generate nanosecond high-peak laser pulses, which differentiates it from passive Q-switch solutions without electronic control and self-triggering.

Core advantage of active Q-switch: The power supply outputs independently controllable electrical signals to manually and accurately switch high/low Q values. Passive Q-switch relies on spontaneous crystal triggering with uncontrollable timing sequences.

1. Precise Active Q Control For Uniform & Stable Machine Output

As the core power hub of medical equipment, it adopts an isolated potting Q-drive module with high-voltage pulse rising edge as low as 15ns. It supports automatic Q-switch delay scanning, eliminating repeated manual calibration by engineers.

The power supply stores independent voltage and QDelay delay parameters for three wavelengths: 1064nm / 532nm / 755nm. Under a 100μF capacitor configuration, the single-channel model delivers a maximum single-pulse energy of 45J, while the dual-channel model reaches up to 90J. The repetition frequency is continuously adjustable from 1Hz to 10Hz with highly consistent pulse energy output. This ensures uniform treatment performance of finished devices and reduces inconsistent feedback from end customers.
